How the Practice uses Personal Health Information

We ask for information about you so that you can receive the best possible care and treatment. We keep this information, together with details of your care, to ensure that your doctor or nurse has accurate and up to date information. This information may also be needed if we see you again.

There are times when we have to pass on information about you to other people, such as Hospitals, Social Services or the Local Health Authority. This is always done confidentially or by removing your identifying details when they are not essential.

Everyone working for the NHS has a legal duty to maintain the highest level of confidentiality about patient information.

Surgery Rota

We operate a surgery rota with Sible Hedingham practice. If you ring our number after midday you may be transferred, automatically, to the Sible Hedingham practice, where your call will either be handled by a receptionist or you will be given the number for the Duty Doctor.

Telephone Advice

Doctors and Nurses can be consulted for advice where an appointment is not necessary. Please telephone between 10.30 a.m. and 12.00 p.m.. Your message will be recorded by a receptionist and passed on to a Doctor or Nurse at the end of surgery. A nurse triage system exists and patients with straightforward problems can be given quick advice by the nurse on the telephone.

Primecare cover the Practice area from 6.30 p.m. until 8.00 a.m. on weekdays and also 6.30 p.m. Fridays until 8.00 a.m. Mondays (plus Public Holidays).

Ring the surgery as usual and your call will be diverted to Primecare.. Alternatively you can ring Primecare directly on:
